Nobody puts Baby in a corner

So this is from performance number 2. . . when someone tried to sing Miley's solo with her.  You'll notice Miley handled it with the stink eye.  ;)  Also, this video comes from a friend who was taping her children and so Miley won't be front and center, look to the right.

It's a hard knock life

Miley is so brave.  She sang 'loud and proud' for her audition to the astonishment of the directors, and of course volunteered to go first.  She got the part of orphan #5, aka Sadie.  She had a solo line in Fully Dressed and when others sang with her she asked the Director for some assistance.  ;)  I never worry about my girl being trampled, she'll stand up for herself.

Miley's short theater run was a great experience for her.  She LOVED it all.  Two weeks of rehearsals every night.  She became instant best friends with 60 kids.

I eat sleep dream Annie music these days.  No matter how annoying that was, I may have teared up a little watching her on stage.  Both nights.  It was just too cute.

Miley caught a head cold the day before the first show.  We filled her with vitamins and mucinex.  She got steam treatments and drank lots of water.  She powered through and did great despite being less than 100%.

She was so good!  I'm sure she'll want to do this more.

It's her month

It is a rule in our house that you can claim it's your birthday from the very first of the month until your actual birthday.  Miley is very disappointed that her birthday comes so early in the month. ;)  Nevertheless, she makes good on her five days of celebrating.
