critical mass

People we have a problem here.  Dave says that I no longer have any room to store more Halloween decorations, so I cannot buy or make anything else.  He really did.  And then I died.  We will now be using my dead body as decoration.  It's all I have.

The problem is that I want to change up my outside decorations, but don't want to purge my previous stuff cause I tend to recycle reduce reuse them.  Yeah I don't think that's the right order for the R's.

Oh my first world problems are killer.

I went to the craft store the other day and actually came home with less stuff than I need.  This rarely happens to me after visiting my favorite kind of supply stores.  I think Dave's sad statement may have altered my perception.

I think I'll have to cancel Christmas.  I need the space.

My office is currently filled with Miley type decorations.  Pink obviously.  It's birthday time.  Maybe I'll have to cancel birthdays too.  Nah, but Easter and Valentines decorations can be tossed.  Birthdays we'll keep.

Miley is having a pool party, which means easy peasy for me cause I don't have to entertain them.  Or watch them, cause I invited the parents as well.  The decorations are for my house.  I'm not decorating the pool.

Does anyone know what it means to RSVP anymore?  I swear, every time I call someone to do it they seem sincerely surprised that I'm calling to tell them Miley is coming.  No one has called me for Miley's party.  Ok, only partially true, we talked to some of them in real life and they RSVP'd. . . so maybe it's not as widespread of a problem as I thought.

Maybe it's because RSVP is french?  We should come up with our own catchy phrase for PLEASE let me know if you're coming to our event so we can have enough food. . . or you get nothing.  I'll start putting that on my invites.  We'll get lots of people to come, I'm sure.  ;)

Our front yard is definitely not welcoming people in these days.  The plants overtook the sidewalk while we were away.  It's hot, so I've let them have their way with it.  I'm not expecting anyone so we're good for awhile.  Poor UPS guy has to dig his way to the door though.  ;) It may keep the solicitors at bay too. . . or that could be the heat.

I'm ready to do a big purge of kid stuff.  I started in on my office and after one garbage bag full felt justified in calling it a day.  We'll have to come back to that one again.  It must be spring cause I really want to throw away stuff. . . and then remember to not buy any more stuff to replace it.  Ugh, so hard.  ;)  Dave and the girls are such hoarders.  ;)

Maybe if I throw out enough of everyone else's stuff D will think it looks like we have more room again.

I really need another skeleton or two. . .

chit chat

Jovey was having a meltdown over something.  I picked her up.  Dave started to talk to her and she put her hand up to stop him and said, "Mommy is handling it."

I was talking to D and said that I was disappointed, Jovey the eavesdropper quickly asked, "in Miley?"  I wasn't talking about Miley, but now I'm wondering what she was hiding.  Guilty much?

I asked Jo what she wanted to give Miley for her birthday and she told me, a snake.  A live one.  I asked her why she would want to give a snake to Miley and she said, "Mom it's funny."  I asked her to think of something Miley would actually like and she then decided she needed to buy her a horse for her sis to ride, and it could live in her room, but she didn't know where Miley would sleep then.  At least it was something Miley would like this time.  ;)

Miley said to Dave, "I would be very honored if you would clean my room."  But he didn't.

We were having family prayers and at the end Jo looked up to Dave and said, "pray for my thumb?"  She had a little hangnail and wanted him to pray it better, so he prayed again and she was happy.
