Jovey was holding onto the back pockets of my jeans. I told her they weren't made to hold her, that they were for my stuff. She said, "right, they hold up your bum." Thanks dear.
Jovey was playing with the Darth Vader balloon. Yep, it's still alive. She was hugging it and said, "Darth Vader is my husband." I asked her if he was a good husband and she confirmed that he was indeed.
I was trying to talk Jovey out of growing up. She countered with, "I have to grow up to be a mom, do big kid chores, and order my own food at the restaurants." Those are the top reasons I grew up too. ;)
Jovey was saying family prayers. It's hard not to smile during her prayers. She thanked God for recycling and her new jammies, and then asked to help Mom get some peace and quiet. I liked that last part especially. ;)
One day at lunch Jovey turned to me and said, "Mom, remember that time that Dad fell off the chair on his face?" Yes, yes I do. And it turns out it happened before either of the girls were born, but I described it to them so vividly that they both laugh their heads off at their 'memory' of it. . . and so do I. Thanks David!
On the way home from tennis Jovey said, "Miley needs a shower, she smells like a 6th grader." Me: But she's only in 2nd grade. Jovey: "Yeah, she stinks really bad." ;) I may tell Miley that she smells like a 2nd grader when she comes home from school. Putting kids together in one room is gross.
And some pics of our crazy little Jojo Bean. . .
