I think I can't
One thing I will share before I get back to reality. . . Miley and I tried something a little new today for lunch. I know, food, Dave is totally rubbing off on me. I mean, I don't talk about food. Wow. What next? OK, so anyway, had some pears, looked for something to make with said pears, happened upon a little idea. . . use a graham cracker broken in two to sandwich sliced pears and cream cheese in between. I admit, I was really skeptical about this one, but Mie and I braved through it and were pleasantly surprised. Well I was, she ate half and was content with that. I have more pears so she'll get another shot at it. ;) Who knew. Try it and see if my taste buds are just messed up.

other uses for a bathroom
. . . and use the mirror to practice writing your name
Miley also enjoys hand feeding the dogs their food there, checking out her facial expressions when she is sad or angry, looking at her hairdo and outfit from all angles, getting out all of my hair brushes and combs to play with, and playing kitchen in my bathtub.
My bathroom. . . It's a very handy room to have around.

shoulda ate dirt
To have a healthy immune system. . . That's what they say, right? Eating dirt when you're a kid will expose you to all sorts of nastiness which will therefore toughen you up? I don't know, but obviously Miley did not eat dirt.
This preschool thing is toxic. She's brought home cold number, I don't know, three in the two months of school we've survived so far. She was never a sickly kid, probably because I kept her away from other infected kids and didn't let her eat dirt. My bad. So this frequent snotty nose thing is unusual for us and no fun.
I also must not have eaten enough dirt as a child cause I've got a minor head cold brewing myself. Between Dave working with sickies, and Miley hanging out with germ-nasty preschoolers I am totally in trouble.
I'm going to go eat some dirt now.
Here are some happy dancing pictures to get the image of me eating dirt out of your mind. . . ;)
Ahhhh, I love this girl. Even when she wipes her bogeys on me or sneezes in my face. I don't think buckets full of dirt could help me with that kind of germ onslaught anyway. ;)

firsts this week
My life is pretty routine, and I enjoy it that way. . . but this week we have a few firsts to experience and that makes things more interesting from time to time.
First. . . field trip for Miley. We're going to the pumpkin patch. Yeah, I'm going too. It's to help transport kiddos of course, not because I don't trust them to watch my kid in a public place where she could wander off and be distracted by talking to the animals and then not notice that everyone has moved on or left. No, I don't worry about those things. ;)
First. . . time ordering a produce basket. To be picked up in a parking lot on Friday. Strange, yes, but hopefully it is good and fresh. I love fresh fruits and I guess I'll take the veggies too.
First. . . time getting a passport. I'm not much of a traveler, so I haven't needed one until now. The picture looks sufficiently cheesy and wide-eyed cause I blinked the first five times it was taken. ;) The next first will be using it. . . well next year.
First. . . time doing yoga on a regular basis, since Miley was born. Yeah, I know, it's been awhile, and I've missed it so much. Now that Miley is in preschool I have my mornings to yoga it up. . . and man my hamstrings hate me right now.
First. . . time being photographed wearing a mustache. You'll just have to wait for more on that one.
First. . . time being First counselor in Young Womens. New calling, and a first in the title, but also kinda deja vu since I was in Young Womens when we were getting ready for Miley to come into the world. Now we're waiting for a little sister and here I am surrounded by teenage girls again. First activity tonight, wish me luck. ;)

I love to see
. . . the Temple! Miley loves the temple and always asks when we're going there. One morning this week we took her and she was thrilled. She wanted to go inside and we explained to her that she'd be able to again when we got her sister. She can't wait!
OK, this may look like we let her run wild on the temple grounds. . . she really wasn't yelling, but running, yes, she may have been. Her legs are short though, so it's a normal walk for us. ;)
Pondering things on the steps.
