all gone

my hair that is. . . it's all gone, cut off, tossed away, lamented slightly. . . and now I seriously feel a little bald. I had a childhood dream of one day having hair like Crystal Gale, but it turns out that I am not patient enough and require change too frequently to let it grow to insane lengths. Oh well. I'd post a pic, but I haven't taken any. ha ha. Just a teaser for ya then.

Lately, Dave and I have been on a serious book binge. I just can't get enough of reading. I don't know why. For me it comes in waves, but this one is lasting particularly long. I've devoured a book or two a week recently. . . and my house has definitely suffered for it. No visitors please. ;) I should be cleaning at this very moment, but instead I'm blogging about books. . . probably because I'm between books at the moment.

A few factors have led to this deluge of literature: Goodreads.com, I'll start by blaming them. I love this site. I get to see all kinds of books and their reviews and also see what my friends are reading. I get to make a big long list of books I want to read so the cycle of reading never ends. Sign up and be my friend so I can see what books you would recommend. I should get paid for that advertisement, but the site is free, so I guess I wouldn't get much.

Second, our new library with it's awesome online bookshelf that allows us to request books and they'll email us when they are in. It's extra awesome, since they draw from all the libraries in the county to fulfill our requests!

Third and finally, when I don't feel well Dave picks up the chores and I get hooked on reading, which tends to last a lot longer than any ailment I might endure. Oh well. It doesn't help that Dave is just as bad. He's a pusher, always asking me what I'm going to read next.

It's a sickness I guess. I'll let you know when it lets up. ;)
